The severe weather situation in North-Eastern Bulgaria causes traffic difficulties

Dear passengers, during the past night, the severe weather situation led to a delay in the schedule of buses traveling in North-Eastern Bulgaria. The situation is critical in Varna region, where a state of emergency was declared. There were also traffic problems in the areas of Silistra, Dulovo and Dobrich.

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) reports an orange code for dangerously strong winds in Eastern Bulgaria today. The code is valid for the regions of Burgas, Varna, Dobrich, Ruse, Razgrad, Silistra, Sliven, Targovishte, Shumen, Yambol. Significant rain is expected, which will quickly change to wet snow with amounts in excess of 25 mm.
